Released in 1998, Trailer Project: Coming Soon collects theatrical preview music composed by John Beal, who has been recognized as a leading composer of movie trailer music since the mid-1980s. Creating effective trailer music requires distilling a film’s essence into roughly two minutes or less to attract audiences, yet these compositions rarely appear on official movie soundtracks. This collection features Beal’s work for trailers including Black Beauty, Almost an Angel, Beautician and the Beast, Alaska, Black Rain, and Casualties of War, showcasing his range from synthesizer arrangements to electronic compositions to orchestral scoring.

Sonic Images released this CD in 1998 with a runtime spanning multiple tracks that demonstrate Beal’s approach to trailer composition across various film genres. The album also includes contributions from Jerry Goldsmith and Tangerine Dream. Add this used copy to your collection at a fraction of retail cost.
