Trail Riding Edition is a CD designed to desensitize horses to sounds they may encounter while riding. Created by Gary Hedden using advanced digital recording technology, this disc contains over a thousand original recorded sounds gathered in pristine quality. The tracks layer various audio into short scenes that can be looped and shuffled indefinitely, allowing trainers to gradually increase volume until horses become accustomed to noise. Hedden’s expertise in how horses perceive sound sources led to a unique recording and mixing technique that simulates the ear and head movements of a startled horse responding to moving sounds, creating the illusion that audio is coming from locations beyond the speakers themselves.

This is a single CD featuring all originally recorded tracks mastered using extensive digital signal processing optimized for standard boom box playback.
