Scrap Happy Daffy is a 1943 animated short from Warner Bros. directed by Frank Tashlin and written by Don Christensen and Phil Eastman. Featuring the voice work of Mel Blanc, this eight-minute comedy follows Daffy Duck as he operates a wartime junkyard, collecting scrap metal to support the Allied war effort during World War II. When Hitler learns of Daffy’s mission, he orders an attack on the scrap pile, leading to a propaganda-tinged battle of wits in this family-friendly cartoon.

This single-disc DVD release runs eight minutes and carries a US Approved rating. The film comes from the classic Warner Bros. animation catalog and represents a piece of Hollywood’s wartime output. Picking up this used copy lets you own a slice of Golden Age animation history at a fraction of retail cost.
