Max and Dave Fleischer directed this collection of Superman animated shorts from the 1940s. Originally released theatrically between 1941 and 1943, these cartoons showcase the Man of Steel facing off against various villains and rescuing citizens in the distinctive Golden Age animation style the Fleischers were known for. The set includes all 17 original color cartoons plus Warner Brothers’ “Snafuperman” wartime parody.

This is a single-disc DVD release from Image containing 13 minutes of runtime. Each cartoon was meticulously restored from mint 35mm prints to preserve the vivid color and quality of these classic shorts. Own a piece of animation history at a fraction of what a new copy costs.
