Concerto Caledonia explores Scottish vocal and instrumental music from the 1700s on this 2004 release, drawing from love songs of the Robert Burns era alongside baroque and traditional fiddle tunes. Violinist David Greenberg contributes virtuosic playing, while the album features works by 18th-century composer Robert Mackintosh and pieces from historical collections of Scots music, presenting a broad view of the period’s musical landscape.
