A collection of silent films from the 1920s featuring actress Olive Thomas, who became one of cinema’s biggest stars during the silent era. Known as “Everybody’s Sweetheart,” Thomas rose from small-town Pennsylvania roots and modeling work to stardom with the Ziegfeld Follies, becoming the screen’s quintessential American girl. The Flapper, written by Frances Marion, follows a Southern teenager sent to an elite Northern boarding school who creates chaos while posing as a sophisticated woman to win over a gentleman and outwit a pair of jewel thieves.

This DVD collection runs 145 minutes and is presented by Image Entertainment. You’re getting a piece of early cinema history with a performer who defined the flapper image on screen, and these surviving prints offer a rare look at her natural talent and luminous presence in silent film.
