The project pairs singer Cee-Lo Green with producer Danger Mouse, a duo known for cinematic arrangements and genre-blending soundscapes. The Odd Couple refines their approach with a smoother, more cohesive collection that draws from funk, soul, hip-hop, and pop while maintaining their distinctive artistic vision. Standout tracks include the agitated lead single “Run (I’m A Natural Disaster),” the soulful “Who’s Gonna Save My Soul,” the synth-driven “Going On,” and the instant classic “Surprise,” alongside quirky pop experiments and darker instrumental moments that showcase the pair’s range.
