The Nu Nation Project is a gospel album from 1998 by Kirk Franklin, blending funk, soul, and hip-hop influences. The record opens with an interlude depicting criticism of Franklin’s controversial hip-hop-influenced gospel style as a courtroom scene, then shifts focus outward to address worldly issues while maintaining Franklin’s faith-centered message. The album showcases Franklin’s energetic vocal style paired with R&B production throughout.

This CD comes from the original 1998 release and delivers the full album experience that helped establish Franklin as a platinum-selling artist. Grab a used copy of this gospel-funk hybrid and own a piece of late-90s contemporary Christian music history.
