The Making of the Mob: New York is a 2015 documentary series that traces the rise of Charles “Lucky” Luciano, Meyer Lansky, Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel, and other New York gangsters from their origins as street teenagers to powerful organized crime leaders. Spanning from 1905 across more than five decades, the eight-part series examines how these figures transformed the Mafia into an American institution during Prohibition and beyond, combining dramatic recreations, archival footage, and visual effects to tell their story. Ray Liotta narrates the series, which features interviews with former NYC Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, Meyer Lansky II, Chazz Palminteri, Drea de Matteo, Joe Mantegna, Vincent Pastore, Frankie Valli, Frank Vincent, Oscar Goodman, and historian David Pietrusza.
