La Buena estrella is a 1997 Spanish drama directed by Ricardo Franco and starring Andrea Ramírez, Antonio Resines, Jordi Mollà, and Clara Sanchís. The film follows Rafael, a solitary butcher carrying deep emotional wounds, who encounters Marina being abused by her boyfriend Daniel. Taking her under his protection, Rafael discovers unexpected healing as he helps raise Marina’s daughter, building a quiet life together. When Daniel unexpectedly returns years later, the fragile peace they have constructed faces a serious threat.

This is a single-disc PAL Region 2 DVD, running 110 minutes, with audio in Italian and Spanish (both Dolby Surround) and subtitles in English and French. The widescreen presentation preserves the 1.85:1 aspect ratio, and the disc includes an interactive menu, making-of featurette, photo gallery, and trailers. Rated 7 on IMDb, this import from Spain requires a multi-region or PAL-compatible player to view in North America. Grab this European release at a fraction of retail cost.
