The Karate Kid [Blu-ray]

Movie / Show Details

This 2010 action-drama remake reimagines the original karate story in modern-day Beijing. Jaden Smith stars as a 12-year-old boy who relocates to China with his mother and finds himself isolated in an unfamiliar place. With no friends and facing relentless bullying at school, he turns to an unlikely mentor: Mr. Han, a maintenance man played by Jackie Chan who is revealed to be a kung fu master. As Han guides Dre through martial arts training, the boy learns that true kung fu transcends physical technique, instead requiring discipline, maturity, and inner peace. Director Harald Zwart brings this coming-of-age story to life, exploring themes of resilience and self-discovery through the lens of martial arts competition.
