The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

CD Details

The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack brings together an eclectic mix of pop, funk, soul, and rock songs that capture the spirit of the 1994 film. Featuring performances by artists including the Village People, Gloria Gaynor, ABBA, Vanessa Williams, and Alicia Bridges, this collection spans disco classics, campy pop hits, and theatrical standards that celebrate the world of drag performance and the characters’ journey across the Australian outback.

This CD contains fifteen tracks ranging from the defiant anthem “I Will Survive” to the melodramatic “Mamma Mia,” showcasing how the film’s soundtrack draws from multiple musical eras and styles rather than relying solely on disco. The album balances well-known staples like “Go West” and “Shake Your Groove Thing” with lesser-known gems such as Paper Lace’s “Billy Don’t Be a Hero” and R.B. Greaves’ “Take a Letter Maria,” creating a soundtrack as entertaining and spirited as the film itself. Add this used CD to your collection and enjoy the music that defined this cult classic.
