This 1987 animated series introduces four turtle brothers trained in martial arts by their rat sensei in the New York sewers. Created by Kevin Eastman and featuring the voice talents of Barry Gordon, Cam Clarke, James Avery, and others, the show follows Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello as they fight crime while balancing their unconventional lives underground. The series blends action, adventure, and comedy into a kid-friendly take on the TMNT franchise that launched a cultural phenomenon.

This DVD contains the five-episode debut miniseries that established the turtles’ origins, presented with opening and closing credits across a single disc.
