CD Details
Take Me Home is a 2009 studio CD by Celtic Thunder, the Irish vocal group that dominated the Billboard World Music Charts following their debut. Recorded at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada in April 2009, this album blends traditional Celtic folk with contemporary covers and new material. The group performs dynamic renditions of songs like “Every Breath You Take” by Sting and “Wichita Lineman,” alongside original pieces such as “Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen” and “Breaking Up Is Hard To Do.” Traditional numbers including “The Homes Of Donegal,” “Working Man,” and instrumental medleys like “Belfast Polka/Pennsylvania Railroad” round out the collection, showcasing the ensemble’s powerful harmonies and individual vocal talents.
This CD contains 15 tracks, with 14 appearing on a CD release for the first time. Celtic Thunder’s second album features the group’s evolved sound as their members matured, bringing fresh interpretations to both folk standards and pop covers. Grab this used copy and experience the group’s live energy at a fraction of retail cost.
