Take 6 is a funk and soul album by the six-member vocal group Take 6, released on Reprise. The group brought a fresh approach to gospel music by blending jazz arrangements with their sophisticated vocal harmonies. Across tracks like “Gold Mine,” “Spread Love,” and “David And Goliath,” the singers weave together elements of jazz, soul, rock, and R&B over a gospel foundation, creating a sound that immediately influenced the broader music world and set a new standard for harmony-based vocal groups.

This is a CD version of the album, featuring ten tracks with a total runtime of approximately 36 minutes. The group’s innovative approach on this debut recording earned them two Grammy Awards and remains essential for anyone interested in a cappella and vocal harmony music.
