Stripes is a 1981 comedy film directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and John Candy. When a down-on-his-luck cabbie loses his job and his girlfriend in the same day, he convinces his best friend to join him in enlisting with the U.S. Army.
