Strangerland is a 2015 drama thriller directed by Kim Farrant. When Catherine and Matthew Parker relocate to a remote Australian desert town, their lives spiral into crisis after their two teenage children vanish without a trace just before a massive dust storm engulfs the area. As the town of Nathgari becomes shrouded in red dust and darkness, local police officer David Rae leads the search effort. Suspicion and rumors quickly turn the community against the Parkers, and Catherine and Matthew must confront the terrifying possibility that something horrific has befallen their children. The film stars Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving, Joseph Fiennes, Lisa Flanagan, and Meyne Wyatt.
