Steve Martin stars in this three-film comedy collection spanning the late 1970s and early 1980s. Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid is a film noir parody directed by Carl Reiner, while The Jerk, also directed by Reiner, follows a rags-to-riches story of self-discovery and ambition. The Lonely Guy, helmed by Arthur Hiller, is a relationship comedy centered on Martin’s character navigating romance and companionship. The collection features supporting performances from Bernadette Peters and other comedy talents, showcasing Martin’s range across different comedic styles and genres.

This DVD collection contains two discs with a total runtime of four hours and forty-four minutes and carries a not-rated designation. Bonus features include theatrical trailers for all three films, production notes, and special content on The Jerk such as instructional material for “Tonight You Belong to Me” and lost filmstrips. Grab this used copy and enjoy three beloved comedies at a fraction of retail cost.
