Some Mad Hope is a 2007 pop album by Matt Nathanson released on Vanguard Records. Drawing from folk coffeehouse roots while aiming toward arena rock, Nathanson delivers emotionally direct songwriting with romantic intensity. The album balances introspective moments like the stripped-down sensuality of “Come On Get Higher” with propulsive rock tracks such as “To the Beat of Our Noisy Hearts” and “Detroit Waves.” Songs like “Wedding Dress” showcase his gift for crafting memorable melodies, while tracks including “Car Crash,” “Heartbreak World,” and “Bulletproof Weeks” reveal his heart-on-sleeve approach to pop songwriting.

This is a standard CD edition containing eleven tracks with a total runtime of approximately 37 minutes. The album features Nathanson’s confessional vocal style paired with accessible pop-rock arrangements that showcase his ability to blend emotional vulnerability with radio-friendly hooks. Grab this used copy and experience the album that became a late-summer soundtrack for many listeners.
