Snow White and the Huntsman is a 2012 dark fantasy adventure directed by Rupert Sanders and starring Kristen Stewart as Snow White. The film follows a young woman who flees her tyrannical stepmother, Queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron), a sorceress who has seized the kingdom and requires the life force of maidens to sustain her beauty. To achieve true immortality, Ravenna needs Snow White’s heart. After her escape into a perilous forest, Snow White is pursued by a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) sent to capture her, but he becomes her ally instead. Together with a rebel army, Snow White and the Huntsman work to defeat Ravenna and restore balance to the realm.
