Bill Frisell and Thomas Morgan recorded this contemporary jazz album in 2017, capturing an intimate duet between the guitarist and bassist. Performed live at New York’s Village Vanguard, the program blends standards and originals, including a tribute to jazz musician Lee Konitz with “Subconscious Lee,” country and blues-tinged compositions by Frisell such as the evocative title track, and a distinctive reimagining of John Barry’s “Goldfinger.”

This CD on the ECM label contains eight tracks spanning nearly 68 minutes, from the opening “It Should Have Happened A Long Time Ago” through the final James Bond theme. Grab this used copy and experience the poetic interplay between two accomplished musicians.
