Skylark is a 1993 television drama that continues the story of Sarah, Plain and Tall. Directed by Joseph Sargent and based on Patricia MacLachlan’s writing, the film reunites Glenn Close and Christopher Walken as Sarah and Jacob, a couple facing hardship on their prairie farm. When severe drought threatens to destroy Jacob’s livelihood, the family’s stability hangs in the balance, and Sarah’s place among them becomes uncertain as they struggle to survive the crisis.
