Sharktopus is a 2010 sci-fi horror film directed by Declan O’Brien and starring Eric Roberts, Héctor Jiménez, Kerem Bursin, and Sara Malakul Lane. When a genetically engineered hybrid creature-part shark, part octopus-escapes from military containment, it begins terrorizing the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. The film blends action, creature horror, and dark comedy as the misbegotten creation wreaks havoc on unsuspecting beachgoers and musicians.
