Shank is a 2010 British independent drama directed by first-time filmmaker Simon Pearce. The film follows Cal, a teenage gang member played by Wayne Virgo, whose carefully hidden desires clash violently with his street life. When Cal rescues a French exchange student from a brutal hate crime, the two boys form a passionate connection that puts them both in grave danger as Cal’s crew seeks revenge for what they see as his betrayal. The film explores themes of identity, survival, and love within a gritty urban landscape marked by explicit sexuality and raw violence.

This DVD release presents the unrated film from the British indie studio. Pearce’s debut stands out for its unflinching approach to queer storytelling set against street culture rather than typical coming-of-age conventions.
