Sevati is a CD by Mirabai Ceiba, released in 2024. The album explores themes of mortality and the celebration of life through loss, drawing from the Sanskrit word “Sevati,” meaning both silence and white rose. Markus and Gely created this work following a year of personal encounters with grief, which deepened their conviction that every moment deserves to be honored. The music weaves together Gurmukhi mantras, songs in Spanish and English, and ancient Native chants, reflecting the duo’s inner journey of discovery and their understanding of the eternal nature of the spirit.

This CD features Mirabai Ceiba’s signature intertwined vocals alongside harp and guitar, with expanded sonic textures including the ronroco, a baritone charango that Markus learned to play during travels in South America, and electronic elements on select tracks. Enjoy this hand-inspected disc at a fraction of the original retail cost.
