September of My Years

CD Details

Frank Sinatra recorded this 1965 album when he was 49 years old, and the material reflects deeply personal themes of aging and reflection. The concept centers on a man in his late years looking back on his life with nostalgia, regret, and uncertainty. Sinatra brings remarkable emotional depth to introspective numbers like “It Was a Very Good Year,” “Don’t Wait Too Long,” and the title track, creating an album that feels autobiographical in nature. Following in the tradition of his earlier Capitol concept albums, this work stands as a masterpiece of the Reprise era.

This is a CD release from 1998 featuring the complete original recordings. The album includes twelve tracks spanning reflective jazz and pop standards, with a total runtime of approximately 40 minutes. The jewel case has a shallow crack running about two inches along the front, though the disc itself remains factory sealed and unplayed.
