Season’s Swingin’ Greetings is a 2021 holiday jazz album by trumpeter and vocalist Benny Benack III alongside arranger and pianist Steven Feifke and his big band. Recorded both in-person and remotely during the pandemic, this project represents a three-year collaborative vision between the two musicians. The album blends original holiday compositions written by Benack and Feifke with reimagined seasonal standards, all arranged for big band. A stellar string section enhances several tracks, while the ensemble features contributions from New York’s top musicians, including reedist Alexa Tarentino, vocalist Alita Moses, and vibraphone master Warren Wolf.

This CD contains ten tracks total, mixed and mastered at Bass Hit Studios in NYC, and was released on the Cellar Live label. Highlights include “My Girlfriend Is An Elf,” “I’ll Be Home For Christmas,” “The Christmas Song,” “Sleigh Ride,” and “Ma’oz Tzur,” along with a bonus quartet version of “Sleigh Ride.” Acquiring this used copy lets you enjoy the full-length album at a lower cost than purchasing new.
