An American newspaper reporter named Joe Bradley, played by Gregory Peck, discovers her sleeping on a park bench and brings her to his apartment. When Joe learns her true identity the next morning, he sees an opportunity for the exclusive story of a lifetime, but his growing feelings for Ann complicate his professional ambitions.
