Sand Rubies released Return of the Living Dead in 1998 as their comeback album, reuniting after a three-year split that began in 1993. Led by Rich Hopkins’ fiery guitar work and vocalist David Slutes, the band crafted an alternative rock record featuring bold, guitar-driven songs like “Turn Off Your Stereo,” “Misery,” and “Undone Again.” The album brought together production from Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and Waddy Wachtel of Linda Ronstadt’s circle, alongside work by Hopkins and Slutes themselves, creating a record that explores themes of alienation and introspection.

This CD was released on Rich Hopkins Music and contains ten tracks with a total runtime exploring the band’s raw, energetic sound. Grab this used copy and own a piece of alternative rock history from a group whose influence extended far beyond mainstream recognition.
