About the Artist

Many of you have seen Vern on the Trinity Broadcasting Network as a regular featured vocalist.. But, you know, many people don’t know how he came to be on TBN.
I remember my Great-grandmother Cartwright. She passed away when I was about 7 years old, but I remember that she was always reading her Bible. Many were the times when I would crawl up onto her lap and listen as she read to me about the great things of God. Daniel in the Lion’s den, David and his fight with Goliath, and story after story that would prove to remain with me from that time to the present. I have a very special place in my heart for grandmothers and mothers and I believe that God does, too. Do you know why? Because they are relentless in their prayer life when it comes to their children and grandchildren. How many of you are saved right now because of the fervent prayers of your mother or grandmother?
When my mother was pregnant with me, she asked the Lord to bless her with a son. She also prayed that that son would sing for His glory. Well, it only took some 52 years, but, the second portion of her prayer was finally answered when I began to do just that! God is faithful!
