Counting Crows released Recovering the Satellites in 1996 as their second studio album. Led by vocalist Adam Duritz alongside founding members David Bryson, Charlie Gillingham, and Matt Malley, the band crafted a more densely produced follow-up to their debut. The album explores themes of dreamers, lovers, and losers through a blend of classic rock and folk influences, with Duritz’s distinctive voice and intricate lyrics anchoring songs like Daylight Fading, Miller’s Angels, and the hit A Long December.

This CD on the Geffen label contains ten tracks including Catapult, Angels Of The Silences, I’m Not Sleeping, Goodnight Elisabeth, Children In Bloom, Have You Seen Me Lately?, Another Horsedreamer’s Blues, Recovering the Satellites, and Monkey.
