Quartet is a 2012 British comedy-drama directed by Dustin Hoffman in his feature film debut. The story follows four retired opera singers living at Beecham House, a care home for musicians, as they prepare for their annual Verdi Gala concert. When Reggie’s ex-wife Jean arrives as a new resident, old tensions resurface alongside unresolved feelings. As the group works to convince the reluctant Jean to perform with them again, they must confront their complicated past relationships while keeping the benefit concert on track.
