Quantum of Solace is a 2008 action thriller directed by Marc Forster and starring Daniel Craig as James Bond. After being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 is determined to uncover the truth behind her death. His investigation leads him to interrogate Mr. White, who reveals a shadowy organization far more dangerous than anyone realized. Bond’s pursuit takes him across Austria, Italy, and South America, where he encounters Camille, a woman with her own vendetta, and discovers that a ruthless businessman named Dominic Greene is orchestrating a scheme to control a vital natural resource while conspiring with an exiled general to overthrow a Latin American government.
