Greer Garson stars as Elizabeth Bennet, the spirited and intelligent eldest of five daughters facing family pressure to marry well. Laurence Olivier plays the proud Mr. Darcy, whose initial coldness toward Elizabeth gradually melts as he comes to appreciate her wit and character. Director Robert Z.
