Lenny Pickett, the saxophonist best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and with Tower of Power, recorded this 2014 jazz album with the UMO Jazz Orchestra, a leading big band from Helsinki, Finland. After a 27-year gap since his last solo release, Pickett returned with a collection of his own compositions and arrangements that showcase his distinctive tenor voice and mastery of the altissimo register. The album blends blues, soul, and funk across ten tracks, from the opening blues number “Busted Again” through the funky title track and the tender ballad “Kathy,” demonstrating Pickett’s ability to move between soulful expression and burning intensity.

This CD was released on Random Act Records and contains ten tracks with a total runtime of approximately 60 minutes.
