Prehistoric Park is a 2006 BBC miniseries that blends documentary filmmaking with speculative science fiction. Zoologist and wildlife expert Nigel Marven, joined by David Jason and Rod Arthur, travels back through time to capture extinct creatures from different geological periods including the Cretaceous, Pleistocene, and Paleozoic eras. As Marven ventures into these hostile ancient climates, he learns what led to the extinction of these remarkable animals while working to bring them back alive and establish them in an extraordinary preserved park.
