Pitch Black is a 2000 sci-fi horror thriller directed by David Twohy and starring Vin Diesel, Radha Mitchell, Keith David, Cole Hauser, and Claudia Black. When a prison transport ship crashes on a remote planet, the survivors find themselves stranded during a total eclipse. As darkness falls, they learn that the escaped convict Riddick is far from their only threat. Deadly alien creatures emerge from the shadows, hunting anything that moves in the blackness. With time running out and the body count rising, the desperate survivors must rely on Riddick and his unusual ability to see in the dark to guide them toward safety and escape.
