Baldassare Galuppi (1706-1785) was a Venetian composer known for his operatic works and keyboard music written in the elegant style of the Baroque era. Born on the island of Burano, Galuppi trained under Antonio Lotti and gained recognition across Europe for his theatrical compositions. His keyboard sonatas, characterized by a gay and lively brilliance, showcase the refined conventions of Baroque music and remain engaging works from his prolific career. Pianist Fernanda Damiano performs six of these sonatas on this 2021 recording for Brilliant Classics.

This classical CD contains six piano sonatas by Galuppi: No. 2 in C Minor, No. 3 in A, No. 6 in E-Flat, No. 7 in G Minor, No. 9 in E, and No. 10 in F. Acquire this used copy and enjoy these keyboard works at a fraction of retail cost.
