Patricia Kaas recorded Piano Bar in 2002, drawing inspiration from the film And Now…Ladies and Gentlemen, in which she plays a nightclub chanteuse. The album features her interpretations of classic French and American standards, including beloved songs like “Ne Me Quitte Pas,” “Et Maintenant,” and “Un Homme Et Une Femme.” Kaas delivers these jazz and chanson selections with a languid, husky vocal style that carries a sophisticated world-weariness, performing primarily the English-language versions of these timeless pieces.

This CD contains eight tracks of smooth piano bar arrangements, running approximately 30 minutes total. Kaas’s vocals are accompanied by piano, keyboards, and bass throughout the album. Picking up this used copy lets you own a piece of classic French chanson and jazz standards at a fraction of the original retail cost.
