Nils Lofgren released Old School in 2011, a rock album from the accomplished singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his work with the E Street Band. The record showcases Lofgren’s range across twelve tracks, with eleven original compositions alongside “Irish Angel,” a ballad written by Bruce McCabe that he had been performing live. Guest vocalists Paul Rodgers, Lou Gramm, and Sam Moore appear throughout, while the album balances raw blues dobros and fiery electric guitars with delicate acoustic arrangements, demonstrating Lofgren’s versatility as a musician.

This CD features a mix of styles that defines Lofgren’s approach to rock music, including the haunting acoustic track “Let Her Get Away,” co-written with Root Boy Slim. Grab this used copy and own a solid entry in his catalog.
