This is an album dedicated to the Great American Songbook and the Be-Bop pioneers. Ron Kobayashi on piano, Baba Elefante on bass and Steve Dixon make up the Ron Kobayashi Trio. Added guest artists include Ernie Delfante on saxophone and Debbi Ebert on vocals. This disc was recorded live with not more than a couple of takes per track. A reworking of ‘I’ll Remember April’ and reharmonization of ‘Over The Rainbow’ are among the standards featured.
