News of the World is a 2020 western drama directed by Paul Greengrass and written by Luke Davies, Greengrass, and Paulette Jiles. Tom Hanks stars as Captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd, a traveling storyteller who journeys across post-Civil War Texas sharing news from around the world. When Kidd encounters a young girl who was taken by the Kiowa people and raised among them, he takes on the responsibility of returning her to her family. Their journey across hundreds of miles of harsh terrain tests both of them as they confront dangerous obstacles and search for a place to belong.

This single-disc DVD release runs 98 minutes and carries a PG-13 rating from Universal Pictures. Special features include deleted scenes, a making-of featurette called “Paul Greengrass Makes News of the World,” a piece on the Kiowa, and audio commentary with co-writer and director Paul Greengrass.
