This 1990 classical recording features orchestral works from the Romantic era, combining compositions by Alexander Borodin and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The program opens with Tchaikovsky’s grand Overture Solennelle “1812” and includes Borodin’s Marche Slave and the atmospheric In the Steppes of Central Asia, along with the famous Polovtsian Dances from his opera Prince Igor. Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Festival Overture and Capriccio Espagnol round out the collection, showcasing the rich orchestral traditions of 19th-century Russian composers.

Released on Deutsche Grammophon, this CD contains six tracks with a total runtime of approximately 75 minutes, performed by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
