Love in a Small Town

CD Details

K.T. Oslin’s third country album arrived in 1990 on RCA, marking a shift toward a more mainstream production style. At 47 years old, Oslin crafted a collection of musical vignettes exploring the lives of women across different stages, set against the backdrop of small-town America. The album showcases her distinctive voice and songwriting sensibility, blending original compositions with two cover songs that complement her storytelling approach.

This CD contains ten tracks spanning roughly 39 minutes, including “Come Next Monday,” which became the album’s most successful single, along with “Mary And Willi,” “Momma Was A Dancer,” and other character-driven songs. The album also features Oslin’s interpretations of “Love Is Strange” and “You Call Everybody Darling,” which add depth to her portrait of small-town life.
