Igor Stravinsky composed The Firebird ballet in 1910 for the Ballets Russes, with choreography by Michel Fokine. This complete original version captures the full orchestral score of the Russian fairy tale, following a prince who encounters a magical firebird and becomes entangled in a supernatural adventure involving an evil sorcerer and an enchanted princess.

This is a CD release of Stravinsky’s complete ballet score in its original orchestration. The recording presents the full work as originally conceived for the stage. Own this essential piece of early twentieth-century classical music on physical media at a fraction of retail cost.
