Live in Dresden: The Wedding at the Opera is a 2008 concert film directed by and starring André Rieu, capturing a festive musical celebration at the renowned Semper Opera House in Dresden. The performance brings together Rieu’s Johann Strauss Orchestra with soloists Mirusia Louwerse and Carmen Monarcha, the Platinum Tenors, and forty dancing couples from Vienna’s Elmayer Dance School. The concert blends classical compositions with popular melodies, creating an elegant evening of orchestral music set within one of Europe’s most beautiful opera venues.

This DVD release from Savoy Jazz runs 90 minutes and is not rated. The disc includes musical selections such as “Wiener Melange,” “The Wedding March,” “Vienna Blood,” “Plaisir d’Amour,” and “E Lucevan Le Stelle,” along with additional tracks not featured in the television broadcast. A single-disc presentation of Rieu’s signature lively and colorful orchestral style, this used copy lets you experience the grandeur of classical performance at a fraction of retail cost.
