Linnea in Monet’s Garden is a 1993 Swedish animated film directed by Christina Bjork and Lena Anderson, adapted from their popular children’s book. The story follows Linnea, a curious young girl who becomes fascinated by paintings of gardens and embarks on a journey with her friend Mr. Bloom to Paris and beyond. Together they visit museums housing works by Impressionist master Claude Monet, where Linnea learns how his paintings capture light and atmosphere rather than precise detail. Their adventure culminates at Giverny, Monet’s actual garden in France, bringing her artistic discoveries to life in the natural world.
