Garrison Keillor brings his beloved fictional town to life in this collection of eleven stories from Lake Wobegon, recorded during live broadcasts of A Prairie Home Companion. The tales capture small-town life through various characters and situations: Lutheran men attending an emotional Risk Takers convention, Pastor Ingqvist interviewing for a job at the Mall of America, an elderly dog experiencing unexpected rejuvenation, and the quirky World’s Largest Pile of Burlap Bags gaining internet fame. Keillor’s imagination weaves together humor, heart, and the peculiar charm of a place where time moves differently.

This CD contains all eleven stories plus a bonus previously unreleased short story titled “Spring.” Recorded from live radio performances, the collection was honored with the Publishers Weekly Listen Up Award for Best Short Stories.
