Let’s Go is a jazz album released in 2013 by the Cory Weeds Quintet, featuring trombonist Steve Davis. Davis is recognized as one of the leading improvisers on his instrument today, known for his lyrical and hard-swinging approach. He gained widespread recognition during the 1990s performing with jazz legends including Art Blakey and Jackie McLean, as well as Chick Corea’s Origin and the cooperative sextet One For All. The quintet explores a range of compositions across nine tracks, blending Davis’s distinctive trombone voice with the ensemble’s dynamic interplay.
This CD was released on the Cellar Live label and features tracks including “Tonk,” “Something Borrowed, Something Blue,” “Rabbit Run,” “Thinking Of You,” “Not So Solid,” “Younger Than Springtime,” “Let’s Go,” “Tetracosmos,” and “Close To Home.” Grab this used copy and experience the artistry of one of jazz’s most respected trombonists.
