Gia Maione and Louis Prima team up on this 1998 reissue of a 1965 album devoted to songs from Mary Poppins. The pair deliver swing-influenced renditions of beloved film tracks, including “A Spoonful Of Sugar,” “Feed The Birds,” “Chim Chim Cher-ee,” and “Jolly Holiday.” The album also features Italian versions of “Supercalifragilistic…” and “Stay Awake,” showcasing Prima’s distinctive style applied to Sherman Brothers compositions.

This single-disc CD spans approximately 20 minutes of jazz and pop interpretations from the classic Disney film. Originally released on Buena Vista Records, this reissue brings Prima’s take on Mary Poppins back into circulation. Collectors of Louis Prima’s work will find this a worthwhile addition to their shelves, and you can own this piece of jazz history at a used price.
